About My Clients
You're facing something big. Grief, illness, a life change, or maybe just the quiet sense that something needs to shift. For the past 20 years, I’ve worked with hundreds of people facing cancer, one of life’s toughest curveballs. I offer compassionate therapy rooted in real human connection, emotional resilience, and the belief that healing is possible—even in the shadow of loss, uncertainty and change. I’m here to help you find steadiness, meaning, and your next step forward.
My Background and Approach
At Curveball Counseling, I specialize in supporting individuals and couples navigating the unexpected turns of life — including cancer, chronic illness, grief, and major life transitions. As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Minnesota, I bring 20 years of experience helping clients find steadiness and meaning in times of uncertainty. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices like CBT, ACT, and mindfulness, while also honoring each person’s unique story and values. I believe therapy should be a place of compassion, honesty, and hope — where you can explore what’s hard, reconnect with your strengths, and chart a path forward that feels authentic and sustainable. Whether you’re coping with loss, adjusting to a new diagnosis, or simply trying to make sense of change, I’m here to help you navigate the curveballs with clarity and care.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe anyone faced with a major life transition, like a job transition or a difficult health challenge, can benefit from having a champion in their corner. My goal is to offer a space to sort through it all, complete with problem-solving, strategies and compassion.
