My Background and Approach
I received my Masters in Social Work from University of Connecticut in 2006. My Bachelors in Therapuetic Recreation from Springfield College. I have worked with youth in the juvenile justice system, childwelfare, those looking to embrace their true identity in what every that might look like. In addition, working with those struggling with substance use while looking for their recovery path way. Being a person with lived experience in many aspects it is important to me to be available to all those seeking guidance and support. We will use specific tools such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Solution Therapy, Recovery Pathway techniques, Mindfulness, Movement and Meditation. We will always work at your pace at your timeline ONE DAY @ A TIME, ONE STEP AT A TIME.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we all have a pathway to recovery. I do believe that we as humans are limitless in what we are capable in doing. All we need is one person to believe in us till we can believe in ourself. As we understand our background, the stories of our lives this will help us heal. Finding peace in things around us, such as the Ocean, the woods, sports, and excersise, as well as being of service and voluntering our time to give back to our community. I make it a point to give back freely what has been given to me. I provide prono services for those with out insurance and struggling to get back on their feet.
