About My Clients
I work with adults and couples navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, panic attacks, relationship distress, and substance use concerns. I support individuals seeking greater emotional regulation and resilience, as well as couples working to rebuild trust, improve communication, and strengthen connection. My practice is grounded in respect, collaboration, and meeting clients where they are.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Mississippi and a Master’s degree in Counselor Education. I have over 20 years of experience in inpatient psychiatric and outpatient settings and have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2008. My training includes EMDR, and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. My approach is person-centered and collaborative. I integrate evidence-based therapies with genuineness, acceptance, and empathy, tailoring treatment to your needs and pace. Together, we work to identify and change patterns of thinking, belief, and behavior that contribute to distress, with the goal of helping you feel calmer, more resilient, and better equipped to manage life’s challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe meaningful change happens within a safe, trusting relationship where you feel validated, heard, and understood. Therapy is not about fixing what is “wrong,” but about creating space to explore your experiences with honesty and compassion. I value authenticity, collaboration, and respect, and I believe each person already has strengths that can be uncovered and strengthened through the therapeutic process. My role is to walk alongside you as you make sense of your experiences and move toward growth and healing. I believe therapy should feel supportive, grounded, and attuned to your humanity, offering both acceptance and thoughtful challenge as you work toward lasting change. I enjoy running and the outdoors. I find tremendous peace in nature. I am a fan of all shows produced by Vince Gilligan and David Chase. I appreciate fiction and the break it gives us.
