About My Clients
I work with children, teens, and adults navigating OCD, body-focused repetitive behaviors, childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, and self-worth. I’m especially passionate about helping those who feel misunderstood, overwhelmed by their own thoughts, or pressured to fit society’s expectations. Whether you’re stuck in old patterns, struggling to accept yourself, or feeling disconnected from who you are, you deserve a space where you can be understood without judgment.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with specialized training in treating obsessive-compulsive disorder, body-focused repetitive behaviors, and childhood trauma. My experience includes supporting children, adolescents, and young adults navigating anxiety, emotional challenges, neurodivergence, and difficult life experiences in clinical, community, and school environments. My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I use evidence-based methods including EMDR, Exposure and Response Prevention, Habit Reversal Training, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I tailor treatment to your specific needs, experiences, personality, and goals. I believe therapy should feel human, like talking to a close friend who knows exactly what to say. I use humor, creativity, playfulness, and sensory experiences, with a single goal in mind: that you feel like yourself again!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe sometimes we get so stuck in our own heads that we forget what it feels like to breathe, relax, or even love ourselves. Somewhere between life’s expectations, painful experiences, and the patterns we’ve developed to survive, we can lose sight of who we really are. I believe healing is about more than managing symptoms or talking it out. It’s about rediscovering yourself, challenging old beliefs, and realizing you don’t have to stay trapped in patterns that no longer serve you. I’m passionate about celebrating individuality and challenging the idea that everyone needs to fit into society’s version of “normal.” I value authenticity, compassion, humor, and creating spaces where people feel safe being unapologetically themselves. I strongly align with the LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergant communities. You are more than your experiences, your struggles, or the expectations placed on you. You deserve to feel freedom and peace.
