About My Clients

Many of my clients have spent years wondering why life feels harder than it seems for everyone else. They may be living with trauma, navigating ADHD or autism, recovering from burnout, exploring identity, or trying to understand how family, work, culture, or other systems have shaped their experiences. Together, we make sense of what you've been through, build on your strengths, and create meaningful, sustainable change without shame or self-blame.

My Background and Approach

I earned my bachelor's and master's degrees from Johns Hopkins University before completing my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Fordham University. My training includes internship at Johns Hopkins, postdoctoral fellowship at George Washington University, and years of clinical leadership in university counseling and community mental health. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and neurodivergent-affirming. I draw from evidence-based treatments including ACT, CBT, STAIR, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and relational approaches while tailoring therapy to each individual. Rather than viewing symptoms in isolation, I help clients understand how their experiences, identities, relationships, and environments have shaped the ways they cope. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, strengthen your resilience, and move toward a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe people make the most meaningful changes when they feel understood rather than judged. Many struggles are understandable responses to difficult experiences, environments, and systems—not personal failures. While we can't always change the circumstances we've lived through, we can better understand them, reconnect with our strengths, and identify where we have agency. I value curiosity, cultural humility, lifelong learning, and creating spaces where people from diverse identities and backgrounds feel genuinely respected. My goal is to provide therapy that is compassionate, evidence-based, and affirming of each person's lived experience.
