About My Clients
I enjoy treating people of different backgrounds and faiths. Learning about your background culture and how it affects your mental well being is an important part of therapy. I have experience treating adults and children with Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, and ADHD.
My Background and Approach
I have over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults. I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology at Michigan State University and my Masters in Psychology at Wayne State University. I provide an eclectic style of therapy with strong emphasis on a partnership with my clients. I am trained in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectic Behavioral Therapy), Trauma-informed, Narrative, Mindfulness, Person Centered, and Motivational Interviewing. I have extensive experience treating Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, and ADHD.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value the importance of personal worldview and culture in therapy. I am a first-generation immigrant that grew up in Michigan with Pakistani, Muslim, and American values. Being understood from your personal worldview and culture is an important part of our therapeutic journey.
