Anxiety can feel like an overwhelming, constant companion — a sense of worry, fear, or tension that shows up in your mind and body even when there’s no clear threat. For many, anxiety can be exhausting, isolating, and disruptive to daily life, relationships, and self-confidence. In therapy, I help clients understand what’s driving their anxiety, whether it’s past trauma, unhelpful thought patterns, or stress from life’s demands.

PTSD can arise after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event, leaving you feeling stuck in a cycle of distressing memories, heightened anxiety, or emotional numbness. It can affect your sense of safety, trust, and ability to connect with others, making daily life feel overwhelming or unpredictable. EMDR is a highly effective, evidence-based therapy designed to help process and heal from traumatic experiences and distressing memories. Unlike traditional talk therapy alone, EMDR uses guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to help your brain reprocess trauma in a way that reduces its emotional charge. Through EMDR, clients often experience a decrease in the intensity of painful memories, allowing them to feel less overwhelmed by past events.

Attachment theory helps us understand how early relationships with caregivers shape the way we connect with others throughout our lives. These early bonds influence how we trust, communicate, and feel safe in relationships — both with ourselves and with those around us.
