All of us experience loss. Loss can be changing jobs, moving, the death of a loved one, the dissolving of a relationship or even never having had the love that you deserved from an important person in your life. Acknowledging and grieving our losses helps us to write our life story from a place of honesty and hope. I will partner with you as you find your way through grief and into wholeness.

Anxiety is part of life. For many of us, it can help us to pay attention to details or get something done on time. Sometimes, though, anxiety develops into a spiral of worry, prevents us from doing things that we want to do, or starts to steal the joy from our lives. When that happens, our relationship to anxiety is asking for a change. In our work together, we will explore the roots of your anxiety and find ways to take back control of your life.

Relationships, for many of us, are what give life meaning. Relationships can also be a source of great pain, confusion or struggle. Understanding the patterns in our connections, our expectations, our losses and our dreams can help us to build and sustain relationships that add positively to our lives. I believe that each of us deserve relationships that are supportive, caring and respectful.

Narrative therapy supports you reclaiming your life story and telling it from a perspective that includes your strengths and opportunities along with acknowledging your history and losses. Whether you are in an intimate relationship, are struggling with relationships with children, friends or parents, our dyadic (or couple) relationships are central in our lives. When there is conflict or room for improvement, counseling can be a helpful, neutral space to work on things. When I do dyadic counseling, the relationship is my client. In couples counseling, I will work to support each of you in finding and building a positive way forward.
