About My Clients
I work with clients navigating life's challenges and seeking positive change. My clients often face anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and life transitions. They aim to understand themselves better, improve their relationships, and build a more fulfilling life. My goal is to provide a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings, gain insights, and develop effective coping strategies. Together, we work towards healing and growth.
My Background and Approach
I am direct and solution-oriented. I have specialized training in trauma-focused therapies, including EMDR, TF-CBT, and Somatic Experiencing. I specialize in helping clients heal from trauma, bad relationships, difficult childhoods, and experiences of discrimination and oppression, as well as improve current relationships. My integrative approach combines evidence-based practices with a person-centered, holistic perspective. I believe everything in an individual's life is interconnected—our experiences, cultural backgrounds, family structure, relationships, and choices all shape who we are. Because of this, I tailor my techniques to meet each client's unique needs, empowering them to explore how these factors influence their lives and take ownership of their goals. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or the aftermath of trauma, I am here to support you on your journey towards healing, well-being, and personal growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone has the potential for growth and healing, and that therapy can be a powerful tool in this process. I offer an inclusive and affirming space where clients of all backgrounds, identities, and orientations are respected and valued. Mental health issues often stem from unhealthy learned behaviors, which can be unlearned and replaced with healthy ones. I don't believe there's a limit to human capacity—everyone can change and grow at any time. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy hiking, reading, yoga, and painting, which help me maintain a balanced lifestyle. I’m also committed to continuous learning and professional development, regularly attending workshops and conferences to stay current with advancements in psychotherapy. I believe everyone deserves quality mental health care and advocate for underserved populations, reserving scholarship spots for those unable to afford my standard rate.
