About My Clients
I love working with teens and adults with a strong moral compass who want to do the right thing but often struggle to make it happen. Many of my clients have done their best to manage their anxieties and simply got to a point where they just wanted someone to talk to someone about their frustrating experiences. They often find that talking it out with someone makes them feel lighter and clearer.
My Background and Approach
My professional background is rooted in psychology and social work. From traditional therapy settings to working with service members, I've gathered valuable insights into resilience and mental well-being. My approach is inquisitive, compassionate, and existential. I draw from attachment and trauma work and am guided by Buddhist philosophy. My ultimate goal in the therapy setting is to improve your human experience through connection and insight.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist, I wish the field of therapy didn't exist. I would rather live in a world in which living in an integrated community provided enough support to keep us emotionally well. The reality is that we live under a capitalist, patriarchal system that prioritizes profits over people. This hurts all of us. Navigating life under these systems is challenging and I challenge you to do everything you can to turn adversity into growth.
