About My Clients
The majority of my education and practice has been focused on trauma and trauma informed therapies. I have experience working with eating disorders, addiction, domestic violence, attachment issues, emotional neglect, childhood abuse, and obsessive compulsive disorders.
My Background and Approach
I take a relational, client-led, collaborative and attachment focused approach to therapy. I work to establish good rapport and safety in the therapeutic relationship as the foundation of treatment. My goal is for you to feel understood, validated and supported, and never judged or stigmatized. I am also someone who spent years in therapy before becoming a therapist, and I ground my approach in my understanding of what it’s like to be on both sides of the therapeutic relationship.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I aim to ground my work in principles of social justice and anti oppression. I believe in harm reduction, and apply harm reduction principles to my work with clients regardless of the target issue.
