About My Clients
Are you seeking help with understanding yourself, your motivations, or your behaviors? Are you feeling overwhelmed by life’s difficulties, going through a tough transition, or experiencing undesired symptoms such as loss of motivation, increased anxiety or depression? We will use art therapy techniques to explore and understand your inner landscape; a metaphor used in order to visualize the intangible parts of yourself: your thoughts, emotions and internal responses to external triggers.
My Background and Approach
I believe that everyone has the capacity to change themselves and their lives for the better. I am passionate about the journey of self discovery and believe that creative art therapy is a meaningful way to explore our inner landscape. Through the work of metaphor and connecting with our unconscious we can unlock the parts of ourselves that are holding us back or getting in our way. I believe in examining uncovered thoughts and feelings with nonjudgmental curiosity in order to learn and grow. Since graduating from Pratt Institute with my Masters in Art Therapy and Creativity Development I have had the pleasure to work with many different populations in a variety of settings. I have been a part of a community based case management program, worked in many acute in-patient behavioral health hospital settings, and intensive outpatient programs. I have worked with individuals of all ages, from 4 to over 90, and have group and individual experience. I am a Board Certified Art Therapist.
