Kimberly Van Buskirk (she/her)

My highly personal, non-judgmental and collaborative approach to therapy helps clients achieve change and address the complex qualities of life. I am an honest, to the point therapist with no preconceived notion of what you “need” to do. You are the expert in the room, my role is to support, offer insight and suggest changes that could be beneficial. In the end, you decide what is right for you. My passion for supporting those striving for more in life and my own personal experiences with anxiety merge together to create my unique approach to therapy. I understand what it is like to wake up several times a night wondering what I forgot, what else do I need to add to my do-to list. I have worked in jobs that drained the life out of me and made me question my career choices. I know what it is like to navigate challenging relationships and wonder “is it me?”. My goal is to help clients take charge of their lives and feel confident in who they are.

I am passionate about helping people and believe that everyone is worthy of love, can make healthy changes and is deserving of a space all to themselves to take the steps towards self-discovery. I believe in meeting my clients where they are at, utilizing an integrative approach to therapy and building a strong and reliable relationship between therapist and client. I employ the same approach when working with couples, strongly believing that support and honesty will open up lines of communication and provide the opportunity to address conflict. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, is especially adept at addressing issues head on, as well as providing evidence based skills that will aid your growth and self-exploration.
