About My Clients
I work well with people experiencing anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, depression, and problems with adjustment. Does this sounds like you?
My Background and Approach
My treatment philosophy is influenced by TBRI (Trust Based Relational Intervention), attachment theory, relational psychodynamic approaches, and mentalization-based treatment. I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship in order to create a safe space to allow curiosity and insightful introspection. Throughout our experience together, I will help you learn how to become more in tune with your body and mind so that you can master your emotions, thoughts, and feelings in order to create better relationships with yourself and others. We will explore past experiences in order to find patterns and world views that you currently hold and that effect the way you operate in the present. I strongly believe in using experiential techniques such as mindfulness, meditation, yoga, and other mind-body techniques that assist in giving you a state of focused attention in which to reach your therapeutic goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone has value and worth. I believe you don't need to prove that you deserve love, it should be given to every person. I believe humans are good, but they might make poor choices sometimes. I believe in healthy boundaries. I believe in putting yourself first so that you can help others. I started working with children and young adults in the homeless and foster care populations. During the time I was able to witness beautiful growth and relationship building among people who had never known what it was like to have safe adults and positive relationships in their life. I want to provide a safe space and give people the tools they need to succeed in life.
