Counseling is an effective treatment for anxiety disorders, helping individuals manage their symptoms to cope and regain control over their lives. Through use of CBT, a form of talk therapy, I can help an individual confront and challenge unwanted thoughts that might lead to certain behaviors. It may be practiced by examining negative thought processes and replacing them with positive thinking patterns.

Through use of CBT, I help individuals identify and change negative thoughts and behaviors. By working together we can identify and change potentially harmful thoughts and behaviors. This leads to understanding the behavior and learning new ways of thinking and acting.

Aging is a natural process that may present challenges for some individuals and their families. Although many older adults look forward to moving from middle age into their later years, it may be difficult for others to adjust. The support of a therapist or other mental health professional may help ease the transition.
