About My Clients
Do you often feel that you are not good enough and without a sense of purpose? Are feelings of sadness and worthlessness getting in the way of your daily activities? Or perhaps something terrible or traumatic happened to you and ever since then you have never felt the same. I believe that healing is possible and that pain does not have to last forever. I am here to help you rediscover yourself and gain inner peace.
My Background and Approach
Although I cannot change what may have happened to you or your current circumstance, I promise to walk with you on your journey. I refuse to sugar coat things and can guarantee that it won’t be easy. The tools that I'll provide you with are tools that I have been implementing to help people just like you. I have 13 years of experience in the mental health field and have extensively worked with survivors of sexual violence and domestic violence. I have also provided therapy for formerly incarcerated men and women, the homeless, individuals struggling with severe and persistent mental illness, those struggling with depression, self-harm, anxiety, substance use, teens with behavioral problems, issues within the parent-child relationship, etc. I have also worked with youth referred due to charges of domestic batter/assault. My therapeutic framework is systemic, and I believe that working with the family is instrumental for change. *Please scroll down to the section in yellow for details*
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that your story matters and that you have a purpose. You are important and you do not have to walk through life alone. I am here to provide you with a safe space to share your pain, move towards radical acceptance and discover the hope of new beginnings. I am also a Christian and am able to implement faith/spirituality in your treatment plan if you chose to do so.
