About My Clients
I work with people that are navigating difficult situations in their lives. If you’ve ever worried about *everything* on a daily basis, doubted yourself, or have struggled with people being condescending or mean to you, I can help. I also specialize in working with people who have had bad therapy experiences in the past. If you've ever had a therapist hijack your session or use the time to pass judgment and condescend to you, come talk to me about it.
My Background and Approach
My clients are typically working on managing their anxiety, mild to moderate depression, and building their identity and capacity for self-love. My philosophy on therapy is one that is grounded in basic human respect and honesty. I promise a ‘No BS’ approach in the course of our work together. My theoretical orientation is one that is based on principles from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and other CBT interventions. That is not to say that I am all science and homework, however. I firmly believe that human beings try to better their lives every single day, but sometimes we just need tools to do it. We have to honor the search for purpose and fulfillment that you are doing. As we work together, we will look at the things that are meaningful for you and help you to find balance in your day-to-day.
