About My Clients
You may be here because your child is melting down, shutting down, anxious, impulsive, or struggling with transitions—and nothing you’ve tried seems to stick. Maybe your teen is overwhelmed, your family is navigating divorce or separation, your relationship feels disconnected, or you’re an adult who is tired of carrying anxiety, trauma, or old patterns that keep showing up. I work with children, teens, adults, parents, and couples who want thoughtful, individualized therapy.
My Approach to Helping
My style is warm, practical, collaborative, and direct. I’m not a therapist who simply sits back and nods. I want you to understand what’s happening and leave with tools that actually fit your life. I tailor therapy to the individual, couple, or family rather than forcing everyone into the same approach. Depending on your needs, I may incorporate EMDR, attachment-based therapy, play therapy, AutPlay, TBRI, PACT-informed couples work, CBT, and other evidence-based approaches. With children and teens, sessions may include play, movement, creativity, and parent collaboration. With adults and couples, we focus on the patterns underneath the anxiety, conflict, trauma, or disconnection. Sometimes therapy is about “throwing spaghetti at the wall” until we find what truly works.
Why I am a Good Fit for You
I believe people grow best when they feel known, respected, and safe enough to be fully themselves. Kids often communicate through behavior and play long before they have the words to explain what’s going on. Parents need practical support, not perfection, and couples can deeply love one another while still getting stuck in painful patterns. I also believe therapy should have room for humor, curiosity, creativity, and grace. My approach is grounded in the belief that people are more than their hardest season. For clients who value faith, I’m comfortable incorporating Christian beliefs in a thoughtful, client-led way. Therapy should feel deeply personal, intentional, and tailored to the life you actually live.
