About My Clients
I serve clients who come from all different walks of life and I enjoy the uniqueness of each individual. For those who are a plagued with worry, stress and uncertainty, I treasure the opportunity to come alongside of you. My aim is to provide a safe space for you to process your difficulties and move towards feeling less distressed and more accepting of yourself.
My Background and Approach
I earned my bachelors in Psychology with an emphasis in Crisis Counseling and my masters in Mental Health Counseling. I use a strengths based approach and combine evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills to assist clients in finding new ways to move forward with more confidence during times of stress, low self esteem and life transitions. I am trained in Exposure and Response prevention therapy (ERP) for the treatment of anxiety disorders and OCD. I have experience and training in working with issues related to grief and loss. I also have experience helping people diagnosed with Bipolar disorder to regain stability in their lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that talk therapy and the nature of the counseling relationship is a powerful tool that can help individuals discover and learn more about their own values and motivations. In my spare time I enjoy doing anything outdoors.
