About My Clients
What happens when you find yourself in the grey areas of life? Do feel overwhelmed, or are you able to look for new possibilities? Do you sometimes feel disconnected from yourself and others, even in a room full of people? Let's explore this with the compassion needed to find acceptance and create change. I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I'm interested in helping all of my clients develop coping skills, navigate parenting, grief & loss, and other life transitions.
My Background and Approach
I earned my MA in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University and have additional training in mindfulness, embodiment, grief & loss, trauma, SEL, and relational practices. My approach is strengths based and collaborative. Together, we'll identify what's already working for you and find new resources to invite more ease and empathy for you and others. We'll work to cultivate curiosity, compassion and complexity. I aim to offer a playful approach to help my clients identify their needs, regulate their emotional responses, better relate to others, and move toward acceptance so they can make the changes they desire.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe the questions we ask can sometimes reveal more than the answers we seek. When we use our innate sense of curiosity to explore our emotions, thoughts, beliefs, and choices we open ourselves to different perspectives, possibilities, connections, and insight and meaning -- all of which can provide a more fulfilling life experience. Like so many others, I have felt disconnected, stuck and as if my life was happening TO me. The thing that brings me back each time is the spirit of inquiry. Let's get curious about YOU! Through gentle exploration using all of your senses, we'll learn more about what is happening for you in the present moment and attend to what is - in all of its beauty and complication.
