About My Clients
My motto, "we are our best tool". As a therapist I bring relatability, equality, and humor into working with my clients. The relationship between the therapist and client is the most central part to therapy. I work to provide a safe space for my clients to explore their lives, unpack experiences, search for a greater purpose, and heal from traumas. I'm here to help my clients become comfortable in the uncomfortable so growth and healing can take place.
My Background and Approach
I received my bachelor's in psychology from Ca State San Bernardino in 2012 and my master's in clinical psychology from Azusa Pacific University in 2017. I have been practicing clinically for eight years and I have worked with adults, children, teens, elderly, and couples. I work through the therapeutic lens of evidenced-based practices such as adherent dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Gottman couple's therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I also incorporate humanistic and client centered approaches to increase interpersonal connection between myself and my clients. I assist clients with regulating their emotions to reduce ineffective coping skills and increase effective coping skills, mindfulness, and restore a sense of agency over one’s own emotions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy is a steppingstone, and my goal is to foster confidence in my client’s abilities to manage life so they can achieve a life worth living. I wouldn't be where I am today without all the help I received from my own personal therapy journey. I want to give back the gift I was given because I know from a personal and professional standpoint that healing, health, and happiness is possible.
