Integrative psychotherapy & EMDR for high-functioning adults and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, and stress.

Psychotherapist in New York, NY

About My Clients

My clients are often high-functioning adults and couples who appear capable and successful on the outside but privately struggle with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, trauma, relationship difficulties, burnout, or recurring patterns that continue despite insight and previous therapy. Many are thoughtful, self-aware individuals seeking more than symptom relief and want meaningful, lasting change in how they feel, relate, and experience themselves.

My Background and Approach

I am a licensed psychotherapist with nearly 20 years of clinical private practice experience providing therapy for adults and couples. My background includes graduate study at New York University and advanced training in trauma-informed and integrative approaches, including EMDR, psychodynamic psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic approaches, CBT, and neuroscience-informed care. My approach is individualized and grounded in the understanding that emotional difficulties often involve more than thoughts alone. Experiences can become held within the nervous system, relationships, and longstanding emotional patterns that continue to influence how we feel, relate, and respond to stress. Rather than applying a single method or fixed protocol, treatment is tailored to each person's needs with the goal of creating meaningful, lasting change.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy works best within a relationship built on authenticity, trust, curiosity, and collaboration. I value creating a space where people feel understood and accepted while also feeling supported in exploring the patterns, experiences, and emotional dynamics that may be contributing to current struggles. I do not believe people are simply collections of symptoms or diagnoses. Emotional difficulties often develop within the context of life experiences, relationships, stress, and the ways we learn to adapt over time. Many coping strategies that once served a purpose can eventually begin to create limitations or recurring patterns that no longer feel aligned with who we are. I also believe change involves more than insight alone. Understanding ourselves intellectually can be important, but lasting change often requires attention to emotions, relationships, and the nervous system. My approach values the whole person and aims to help clients cultivate greater self-awareness.
