About My Clients
I am a psychologist who takes an integrative approach, being mindful to incorporate both the mind and body into the process of healing. I seek to help individuals compassionately navigate anxiety, depression, challenges related to changes in identity, chronic pain, and/or health conditions, women's issues, the postpartum experience, issues of aging, or grief/loss. I seek to be a partner in my client’s healing journey, and start and end my approach from a place of empowerment and collaboration.
My Background and Approach
I have been a therapist in the field for over a decade, helping adults and older adults manage stress, cope with transitions, and connect with a deeper sense of meaning and purpose. I have extensive training in evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and specialize in mindful self-compassion (MSC). I tailor my approach to my client’s individual context, life circumstances, and personal strengths. No two people are exactly alike, and as such, psychological treatment should not be a one-size-fits-all approach. My hope as a therapist is to assist my clients to reconnect with their personal values and more flexibly and adaptively navigate the human experience. I completed my American Psychological Association (APA) accredited doctorate in Clinical Psychology at California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant San Diego and my APA-accredited doctoral internship at through Sharp HealthCare.
