About My Clients
Many people come to therapy looking for a place where they can be themselves and share their thoughts and feelings openly, without fear of judgement. I have been providing this kind of open and caring therapeutic environment to my clients throughout my career. I'm passionate about working with those who are interested in having a deeper understanding of how their past and current experiences are impacting their thought process and behavior and are excited move forward in a positive way.
My Background and Approach
I have worked in the non-profit sector for many years, focusing on behavioral health. I have been trained in settings where Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is used and I strongly believe in the concepts related to how changing our behavior impacts our thoughts and moods. Although diagnoses can be important, labeling on its own is not helpful. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to treat issues related to depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationships or issues at work, and specialize in addressing long-standing repetitive patterns of behavior that affect quality of life and have been resistant to change. I have extensive experience working with people who have Autism Spectrum Disorder/are neuro-divergent.
