About My Clients
You’re not finding relief in the ways you're familiar with. You wish you could find peace and become a more ideal version of yourself. Maybe you've even lost a loved one or lost touch with yourself. You’re ready to get unstuck from your old patterns & change up your mindset. Having a sacred space to air out your challenges, seek your growing edge, & be deeply understood through therapy can give you the clarity you need to step into who you really are.
My Background and Approach
Having me as your therapist is interactive & connects you to your strengths. We'll explore how stress, society, & relationships influence both you and the way your brain & body work. You'll discover a release from your heavy burdens. I'm warm, collaborative, compassionate, and I bring encouragement, creativity, a playful spirit and—at times—Animal-Assisted Counseling with my Therapy Dog, Fyrenz. As as therapist trained in Trauma-Focused CBT, I understand the importance of reconnecting to your power and sense of safety, allowing you to process & integrate your experiences, and developing your paths of wisdom so that stress is less likely to overwhelm. For the past 4 years, I've had the honor to witness youth & adults as they heal from traumatic events, including depression, anxiety, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, abusive relationships, & other traumatic situations. You, too, can ease your worries & discover tools that encourage your growth into the next chapter of life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
A crucial part of my values is to honor each person's experience as their own. I believe you are the expert of your life and my role is not to tell you how to feel or what to do, but to offer you pathways to explore how you choose to navigate your challenges. I'm a member of the LGBTQ+ community, identify as Queer, and stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matters movement. I understand that there are experiences and struggles that I will never understand, because I'm shielded by my privileges. I strive to create a space where you can feel safe to show up as a whole human and not feel the need to leave pieces of yourself behind or hidden. Your feedback is welcomed & honored. Outside of counseling, I spend time with my partner, take my dog to the dog park, & play soccer in Austin. I love to read, play video games, do puzzles, create, & diffuse essential oils. I believe the journey to mental wellness is ongoing and I'm invested in my own self-care, healing, and wellbeing rituals.
