About My Clients
Some women come to us carrying the weight of a relationship that isn't working. Others are exhausted in ways they can't quite explain — a mind that won't stop, a standard they can't stop raising, a life that looks fine from the outside but feels harder than it should. Many are navigating all of it at once. If you're a woman in Denver who's ready to understand what's beneath what keeps showing up, not just find better ways to manage it, we'd love to talk.
My Background and Approach
The Women's Counseling Center of Denver is a women-owned group practice serving women in Denver for over a decade. Our therapists bring over 45 years of combined experience in mental health, which means when you arrive with something complex, layered, or hard to name, you're in experienced hands. We specialize in depth-oriented individual & group therapy for women navigating relationship challenges, high-functioning anxiety, burnout, & self-doubt. Our individual therapy for relationship issues is particularly valuable when a partner won't attend sessions, couples therapy hasn't helped in the past, or the relationship doesn't feel emotionally safe. Our approach blends CBT, for practical, present-focused support, with psychodynamic work that goes deeper, exploring the patterns and relational history that explain why the same patterns keep returning. We don't offer quick fixes. We work to understand what's beneath what you're experiencing, because that's what drives change that lasts.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We believe the challenges women face — in relationships, work, and their sense of self are shaped by forces that are often invisible and rarely acknowledged. The pressure to hold everything together. The expectation to manage not just your own emotional lives but everyone else's. The exhaustion of functioning well while struggling privately. These aren't personal failings. They're the lived experience of being a woman. We believe therapy, at its best, is one of the few spaces where a woman doesn't have to manage any of that — where you can speak honestly and arrive at your own understanding without being steered toward a predetermined outcome. That's the kind of therapy we practice. Our work is guided by growth, compassion, inclusivity, and safety. We offer a wide range of fees because access to quality care matters. We welcome women of all backgrounds and identities, and every woman who comes to us is met with the same depth of care and commitment to her growth.
