About My Clients
My ideal client does not have to come to therapy knowing exactly what is wrong, what they need, or even where to begin. You may simply know that something in your life does not feel the way you want it to anymore. You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, stuck, disconnected, exhausted, grieving, struggling in a relationship, having difficulty managing your symptoms, or trying to adjust to a major change in your life. You are welcome to start exactly where you are.
My Background and Approach
For the past 23 years I have built a diverse background in therapy, case management, child welfare, education and behavioral health. I support clients from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences to include parents, professionals, first responders, nurses, teachers, attorneys, military personnel, retirees & students (including college & medical students). I support those navigating stress, parenting, ADHD, behavioral concerns, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, anger, self-esteem, addictions, life transitions, anger management, relationships, family issues, retirement, career challenges, and health-related concerns. Therapy should be a safe, supportive space where you feel seen, heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. I genuinely care about the clients I work with and value the relationships we build. Life doesn’t always give us time to process what we’re carrying. Your journey is your own and I’m here to walk alongside you with understanding and care.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy can involve difficult conversations, but I do not believe every session has to feel heavy or clinical. One of the greatest strengths I bring to therapy is the experience that has taught me that being a good therapist is about much more than knowing therapeutic techniques. It is also about knowing when to listen, when to ask meaningful questions, when to offer another perspective, when to provide guidance, when to gently challenge patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and when someone simply needs space to process what they are feeling. I know that asking for help may not be easy & I never take for granted the trust it takes to share the most personal parts of your life. Maybe you’ve been holding it together for everyone else, but inside you're struggling. If you are ready to begin, I would be honored to be a support for you.
