About My Clients
You’re the one who holds it together—the capable one, the dependable one, the person others count on. But underneath, you may feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns you can’t seem to change. I work best with adults and couples navigating childhood trauma, attachment wounds, emotional neglect, shame, people-pleasing, and painful relationship cycles. You may understand why you are the way you are, but still wonder why knowing hasn’t changed how you feel.
My Background and Approach
You’ve gotten good at pushing through. You show up, handle what needs to be handled, and keep going, even when what you’re carrying has become too heavy to keep carrying alone. Maybe you’ve spent years trying to understand yourself, but understanding why you do something hasn’t necessarily changed how it feels when an old wound gets touched. That’s where our work begins. We won’t just talk about what happened,we’ll pay attention to what still happens inside you because of it. The way you brace for rejection. The guilt that shows up when you choose yourself. The need to fix things when someone is upset. The part of you that shuts down, overthinks, overgives, or works even harder to prove you’re enough. My training is rooted in trauma, attachment, relationships, and the nervous system. It’s warm, honest, active, and sometimes uncomfortable in the ways that help things move. You’ve carried enough. You don’t need another place to perform. You need a place where you can finally put some
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My Christian faith is central to who I am and shapes the way I see people: worthy of dignity, compassion, grace, and the opportunity to grow. I believe people are more than the worst thing they’ve done or the hardest thing that’s happened to them. That belief is part of why I volunteer working with incarcerated men and women. It has reinforced something I deeply believe: people make sense when you understand their story. Understanding doesn’t remove accountability. I believe compassion and accountability can exist in the same room. I value authenticity, curiosity, second chances, and spaces where people don’t have to pretend. I believe emotions are information, not something to fear or judge. Faith can be part of therapy when a client wants it, but I don’t believe spirituality should be used to bypass pain, silence difficult emotions, or rush someone toward forgiveness.
