About My Clients
I'm inspired to work with people that struggle with trauma experience, anxiety, and unanticipated life events. Adults, both professionals and parents, from a multitude of environments, trust me to help then navigate their challenges and successfully build resiliency and capability.
My Background and Approach
I earned an MSW from FSU, after working in corporate and education. to pursue my passion for helping others. Therapy sessions may be in person or virtually by video. The atmosphere is relaxed and accepting. In our first session we identify your concerns and goals and you and I will build a treatment plan specific for you. Clients have express feeling a greater self value, increased calm, and less anxiety after our sessions. I’ve embraced both the practicality of CBT and the awareness of emotion/mind/body on our capabilities and utilize a mix of both. Therapy sessions may include a variety of therapeutic approaches such as, CBT, MBCT, or Emotion Focused Parenting, and more, all rooted in evidence based practices.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we have great capacity within ourselves, that we are social beings, and that our body and brain are astounding creations. We are also human and often suffer, struggle, and feel alone. When we take the time to delve into ourselves, our desires, both our individual and shared experiences; we are able to develop a plan, learn new skills, and thrive.
