About My Clients
My goal is to help clients feel like they are not alone in their personal journey. By learning how to interrupt the story that has created doubt in our own intuition, unhappiness in our own path and a lack of confidence in how we are loved and love others we can begin to live the life of purpose we had hoped for for ourselves. In a safe, non-judgmental space we explore strategies to address challenging life's events, incorporate change and find our own center.
My Background and Approach
I became a counselor after 20 years of experience in human resources and consulting. I came to this profession after personal frustration with not being able to find the right support for members of my own family. I am convinced we each hold a purpose in life and can change habits that are no longer working for us. My background and approach is integrated based on my training or certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gottman Couple’s Therapy, Mindfulness, Grief, Play Therapy, Safe Zone, Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk. I completed my M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Missouri St. Louis and am a member of the American Counseling Association, Honor Society, and certified as an Ability Ally for Inclusion.
