About My Clients
Do negative beliefs such as, "I'm not good enough" or "I don't deserve love" play in your mind? Do you feel overwhelmed or stuck? Symptoms like these can be confusing for us and cause problems within our relationships when we can't figure out how to process them. Often times, negative events from earlier in life come back as a reaction, not a memory. As a trauma therapist, I can efficiently get you on the path to feeling better!
My Background and Approach
As a trauma informed therapist, I have many resources to help you understand what is happening in your brain and body. I use a holistic approach to heal presenting symtpoms such as depression and anxiety, as well as getting to the root of the issue, such as earlier distressing events or childhood trauma. We start with presenting issues and then figure out where they came from. EMDR therapy is very effective in reprocessing previous events that may have been stored in the brain and body in unhelpful ways. By doing this work, you will be able to gain helpful insights and even better, feel a positive shift in your body. The work is sometimes difficult, but it will be worth it when the change is substantial and lasting.
