I serve couples and parents struggling with the pressures modern living has put on family life. Juggling all the daily responsibilities of work, kids, and community can make you feel like you’re just trying to keep your head above water. This impacts your ability to be present with the people you care most about. Finding ways to counteract burnout and learning skills around emotional connection can help you feel more connected and satisfied to those most important people in your life.
My Background and Approach
Self-care & positive thinking are important, but I believe it is most important to start with empathy & validation. Feeling heard & understood is the breath of fresh air we all desperately need, especially when we’re drowning under the weight of modern-living. I want you to feel heard & understood before we move on to important problem-solving. When you do, we can move towards practical skills that will help create breathing room so you can be more present in all your important relationships. I am level 2 trained in Gottman Method Couple’s Therapy, which is an evidenced-based way of learning important relationship skills. This has helped so many couples be intentional about repairing, rebuilding, and strengthening their relationship, mine own included. I have experience working with children, however the most effective way to help them is by helping you, their most important person, become a personal emotion coach to guid them through their difficulties in real time.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe intimate relationships are the foundation of the family. And healthy families breed healthy children. And healthy children grow into healthy adults. And healthy individuals are the building blocks of community. I LOVE working with couples to reclaim their friendship, develop skills to manage their conflict, and define what their goals and dreams are for their life together.
