I am trained in EMDR and use this to help treat symptoms related to trauma. I have had success treating PTSD related to car accidents, relationship violence, divorce, death of loved one, heart attacks, military and first responder experiences, flying, and witnessing traumatic events.

I am trained in CBT and positive psychology which help clients to learn healthier more calming thinking styles and habits. I work with each client to lower their anxiety to a more manageable level. I have helped many people with PTSD, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, phobias, adjustment anxiety, and OCD. Anxiety is the most common symptom I see in my practice. Many people just need support to overcome or manage the symptoms.

I work with many teens who struggle with social skills, social anxiety, performance anxiety related to sports, tests or public speaking, depression, and anger issues. I have experience teaching the Safe Dates curriculum and can educate teens on dating violence, assertiveness, and healthy relationships. My teens feel comfortable with me and can talk about anything they want to.

I am trained in sports hypnosis. I use this to help athletes learn how to be mentally tough. I teach athletes how to stop negative self talk, what to focus on for best performance, and how to relax themselves. I teach athletes how to do mental movies that turn into self hypnosis. I can also use this skill to help with other performance based skills like test taking. I’ve worked with almost every sport including golf, baseball, basketball, soccer, and gymnastics

I am trained in CBT and took a 20 hour intensive course that resulted in certificate. This is the primary method I use in therapy. It is effective for mood disorders and anxiety amongst other issues. I’ve been using CBT successfully for ten years.
