About My Clients
Hey you! I'm glad you're here, that takes courage. If you come from a Latino background, you know the drill: keep the peace, put up with the nonsense, family always comes first. But you've been carrying so much, and you deserve a space that's just for you. Whether you're facing anxiety, sadness, trauma, or boundary struggles, you don't have to do it alone. If you're a teen (16+) or young adult ready to understand yourself better, that's exactly what we'll do together.
My Background and Approach
Before we get into the deep work, we start with the foundation: trust. I want to create a "come as you are" environment where transparency and authenticity aren't just words, but the standard. I show up as my real self in our sessions, and I invite you to do the same. In our work together, we will explore the unconscious patterns and unresolved childhood conflicts that may be silently harming you. By addressing unmet needs from your upbringing and healing trauma at its root, we can shift how you show up in your relationships today. My goal is to help you sit with uncomfortable thoughts while simultaneously committing to the positive changes that move your life forward. Early in my career, I noticed a profound gap: the lack of BIPOC representation in mental health. I believe you deserve a therapist who reflects and understands your cultural nuances. Representation isn’t just a preference, it’s a vital part of the healing process, and I am committed to being that presence for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that none of us exist in a vacuum; we are the products of our stories, our ancestors, and our upbringing. While we cannot change what happened in the past, I believe we have the power to change how those stories live within us today. True healing happens when we stop trying to 'fix' ourselves and start understanding the roots of our patterns. I also believe that this healing is inseparable from our cultural identity. Every person deserves a therapeutic space where they don’t have to explain their culture or defend their reality. I am deeply committed to the belief that representation is a form of medicine, and that feeling truly 'seen' is the first step toward reclaiming your agency.
