About My Clients
Kiera aims for her clients to feel heard, empowered, and supported in their mental health journey to help them grow. Kiera helps clients navigate depression, anxiety, OCD, suicidal thoughts, eating disorders, and emotional dysregulation. She utilizes a collaborative approach allowing the client to take the wheel as she guides them to explore their challenges, build skills, and drive forward towards meaningful change. She believes that all individuals are experts of their own lived experiences.
My Background and Approach
Kiera is a Licensed Social Worker who believes that healing happens when clients feel genuinely connected and understood. Kiera integrates evidence-based strategies and is devoted to providing a nonjudgmental and compassionate environment for her clients. She is DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) trained, ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) trained, and also blends a mix of trauma-informed, CBT, and mindfulness approaches. Kiera obtained a Master’s in Social Work from Temple University. Prior, she received a Bachelor of Arts from Stockton University in Sociology with a minor in childhood studies. Her background in Sociology allowed her to gain an understanding of the quiet forces that shape people, and learned to dive deeper beyond the surface level. Kiera has a background working in an acute inpatient setting with children, adolescents, and adults where she provided care through hands-on work to clients in high-intensity crises.
