About My Clients

I work with clients who are open to change and ready to grow into their potential. You don’t have to have it all together — just a willingness to learn. I help you identify who you are, not just what’s happened to you. My approach is warm, honest, and active: we talk, reflect, and use real-world homework to build confidence, clarity, and a grounded sense of self.

My Background and Approach

I’m a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with a Master’s in Social Work, Social Policy, and Social Administration from the University of Chicago. I believe in healing at the root — not just treating symptoms. My work draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Theory, and elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to help clients recognize patterns and examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that maintain them. Together, we replace survival habits with sustainable tools for growth. I assign intentional homework so clients can practice new ways of thinking and responding between sessions, turning insight into real-world change. With experience in schools, agencies, and private practice, I blend warmth, structure, and accountability. My goal is to help you understand yourself deeply, disrupt old cycles, and build a life that feels grounded, peaceful, and authentically yours.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

During undergrad, I was deeply involved in organizing and protesting against racial injustice. Those experiences shaped how I see healing — not as something we do alone, but as something that happens in community. While navigating my own trauma, I was also supporting others as a mentor and leader, and I learned firsthand how essential collective care is to survival and growth. That understanding became the foundation of The Stand — a space where healing, justice, and community meet. My work is guided by transformative justice and the belief that recovery must address both personal pain and the systems that create it. I pursued clinical training to pair that lived experience with evidence-based tools, so I can help others heal at the root while building safer, more compassionate communities.
