About My Clients
As a practitioner, my ideal clients are folks of marginalized experience (BIPOC, QTPOC, gender-expansive, alternative) that are struggling with complex trauma, anxiety, depression, attachment issues, parentification, self-abandonment, and perfectionism.
My Background and Approach
As a clinician, I am trained and work from a relational psychoanalytic model. This means that sessions focus on self-inquiry and extracting insights from your formative experiences . As will center your subjective experiences and the meanings you’ve come to make from them, focusing on early recollections and formative experiences that shape core belief. I work through an anti-oppressive and intersectional lens, weaving relational psychodynamic, systems-oriented, and humanistic approaches while mindfully weaving cognitive-behavioral and emotion-focused therapy techniques.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a clinician, I tend to deviate from the symptom-oriented framework that believes that the space of therapy is meant to cure or change the client. I work from a belief that all people are the respective experts of their lived experience. Because of this, I leverage curiosity, gentleness, and inquiry to create a shared space that is co-created and designed based on what matters most to you in this stage of your life.
