I enjoy working with teens, adults, and families who may be struggling with changes in their lives, communication, and sense of self. New transitions bring challenges that can activate insecurities, depressive bouts, and anxiety, which may leave you feeling stuck and at a loss. We'll work together to help you better understand your experience, build your strength and skills, and equip you to reclaim your life with success and confidence.
My Background and Approach
In my time in community mental health, I worked with many immigrant families, teens, and children who needed additional support to meet the challenges of life. My values of community, connection, and inclusion made building trusting and meaningful relationships with my clients a core part of their development. I have worked with clients who've experienced a wide range of struggles, including anxiety, grief, depression, family trauma, and more. As a second-generation Asian-American, I have spent a lot of my professional development working with others who share struggles with their various identities, intergenerational communication, and feeling seen. I meet my clients with empathy and non-judgement, in order to provide you the safety needed to be vulnerable and to discover new ways of being that best fit your life and needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person deserves to experience the value of feeling heard and safe in their vulnerability. Many people struggle with sharing their challenges because they fear being a burden or feel undeserving. I come alongside my clients in their struggles, and ensure you have someone who understands you as a whole person.
