About My Clients
You may be feeling depressed, anxious, and overwhelmed, and then life gets in the way, which makes it harder to show up in the world the way you'd like. What I can share is that my focus is on your problem, how you view it, and what we can do about it so you can find relief. I assure you that you have the ability to manage it all, and work through these obstacles.
My Background and Approach
My focus is in CBT, DBT, and Self Compassion. These are approaches that recognize how we think about ourselves and our problems. The work is in changing your perspective so you can make the changes you have hoped to. We aren't at our best when we are thinking the world is coming to an end or we are horrible, so let's change that.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone wants to be happy even though life can give us a bunch of reasons not to be. There are things we go through that we can't handle alone, and that's okay. Talking to someone can help us gain new perspective for old problems. I got into this field because I enjoy getting to know my clients, talking through what brings them into session, and seeing the improvements they can make in their lives.
