About My Clients
Is anxiety, depression, or stress interfering with your ability to live your most rich, authentic, and meaningful life? Are you seeking a safe space to reconnect with your inner world, process your lived experience, and heal? Would you like support navigating meaningful relationships, complex life transitions, or the pressure of expectations? Perhaps you are considering change — whether any is necessary, the direction in which you might head, or where to begin...
My Background and Approach
I believe that at its core, the therapeutic relationship is based on collaboration and authenticity. I invite you to show up as your full authentic self, and I promise to receive you with curiosity, sincerity, and kindness. Together, we will deepen our awareness of what is most meaningful to you and identify any fears, doubts, or expectations that might be getting in the way of the life you want to be living. From there, we can collaboratively set goals and start moving in your valued life direction. I employ Acceptance and Commitment Therapy whilst remaining grounded by person-centered and systems-aware feminist tenets to help you identify and take actions towards building a rich, full, and meaningful life. I firmly believe we must remember our power to change our own lives, whilst recognizing that change is gradual, rarely linear, and often a culmination of smaller efforts.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the power of living a life that is aligned with our authentic selves. Driven by a desire to align my professional life with my values of caring for others and, I decided to pivot to become a therapist after having worked as a software engineer at major companies like Google and Microsoft for 5 years. As a therapist, I hope to empower my clients to chose to build a life that is most aligned with their authentic selves. I recognize that due to economic, socio-cultural, or systemic pressures, not all options might be available to us. However, I still believe it is paramount to find the power and space in the choices we can make. As an immigrant gay latino living in America, I remain committed to living my authentic life whilst remaining cognizant of the dangers and limitations that might come along with these identities.
