About My Clients

Is anxiety affecting your day-to-day life? Perhaps you're a woman who has been feeling tired of living outside of your boundaries or want to feel more fulfilled instead of just getting by. Maybe you are a parent who is looking for help and support for your anxious or neurodiverse child who is struggling with daily activities, getting along with peers, and handling big emotions. Let's work through this together and explore doable strategies to help you or your child gain relief and new skills.

My Background and Approach

The therapeutic process I facilitate involves building a strong relationship with you and/or your child, identifying goals, processing barriers, then exploring realistic and creative strategies you can implement in your daily life. My rich work experience, continued education and trainings, and variety of professional competencies equip me with a plethora of clinical skills and interventions to provide you with therapeutic care fit for you and/or your child's unique needs. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Board Certified Art Therapist, Registered Play Therapist, EMDR Therapist, and Autism Specialist. Sessions with me typically look like us sitting in my cozy office working on cognitive strategies to treat your anxiety, perhaps playing a therapeutic game to identify coping skills, processing trauma with EMDR, or maybe creating a piece of artwork to gain relief from stress. My goal is to create a space where we can work together to help you or your child feel better.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Change can be hard. It occurs all around us on a daily basis, whether it’s within our control or not. Sometimes, along the way, we get stuck in unhealthy patterns of resistance and struggle, have unrealistic ideas of how we want things to be, or lose sight of our values. Through my professional and personal experience, I have developed a belief that how we handle change and struggle is one of the most important factors in determining our quality of life. The biggest lesson we can learn when going through challenge is learning how to handle it in a healthier way when it inevitably happens again in the future. We cannot avoid struggle, but we can certainly work through past and current barriers and build strength for the future. When I'm not in "therapist mode", I enjoy spending time with my husband and furry family members, playing volleyball, creating art work, watching movies, going for walks, and travelling. As a therapist, my goal is to be your coach, teammate, and cheerleader!
