I enjoy working with clients of all backgrounds. My ideal client is someone who is interested in learning new ways of responding to difficult thoughts and emotions in order to live their lives more fully.
I practice cognitive behavioral therapy, with an emphasis on acceptance and mindfulness-based therapies (ACT) and exposure therapies. I also have extensive experience in compassion-focused approaches to target self-criticism and shame.

I have extensive experience treating OCD with exposure and response prevention. I typically integrate acceptance and commitment therapy as well. I have trained at renowned OCD/anxiety specialty centers. I also treat OCPD, more specifically maladaptive perfectionism.
I treat the range of anxiety disorders (panic disorder, phobias, etc) with CBT, acceptance and commitment therapy, and exposure therapy. have trained at renowned OCD/anxiety specialty centers.
Since depression is often co-occuring with OCD and anxiety, I have extensive experience treating people struggling with depression with CBT, acceptance and commitment therapy, and compassion-focused approaches.
ACT is within the CBT umbrella. I find ACT to be very useful in helping clients step away from the futile struggle with intrusive or anxious thoughts and emotions. Practicing ACT makes it easier for clients to experience those thoughts and feelings while not getting caught up in them. It also orients clients to making choices and determining their actions based on their values, versus being pushed around by their fears.
CBT principles and techniques are integral to all the therapy I offer. ACT and exposure therapy are actually types of CBT.
I utilize exposure therapy for OCD and anxiety cases.
