About My Clients
I have 13 years of experience helping children, teens & adults (men and women) with trauma whether it was incurred in childhood or adulthood and victimization. I also work with military veterans and active-duty service members to navigate traumatic experiences and PTSD. Being a military veteran myself, this is very important. Lastly, I provide therapeutic services for adolescent, teen and young adult athletes that may be having a tough time with performance and/or injuries.
My Background and Approach
Kerry received his Bachelor’s from N.C. State University in 1999 and 2001 in Social Work. He then earned his Master’s in Social Work from the University of NC-Chapel Hill. He has been an NASW-NC Board Member and Committees – PAC and Legislative. He was on the APSAC Board as a member and President. Kerry enjoyed working as the Child Welfare Collaborative Coordinator and Lecturer in the Social Work Department at N.C. State University and Clinical Instructor at the UNC-CHJordan Institute for Families/FCRP Program. Kerry began as a therapist in 2004 with children in the child welfare system who had undergone trauma and then community care as a therapist and clinical supervisor. Kerry specializes in helping individuals heal from child neglect and trauma. Kerry's therapeutic approaches are DBT, EMDR, TF, and Psychoanalytic Therapy. He also works with military veterans (And a Military Veteran himself- 9 years) and active-duty service members to navigate traumatic experiences and PTSD.
