About My Clients
I enjoy working with young adults, couples and families. With a specialization in trauma, I am able to assist anyone with ADHD, anxiety and depression, grief and bereavement, relationship conflict, infertility and adoption. I am an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community.
My Background and Approach
I have a conversational style and wear my heart on my sleeve. I trust people come with their own ideas of what to discuss in therapy and my aim is to be present. I am happy to make suggestions and guide improved self awareness through cognitive challenging, reframing and encouragement.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I prefer clients set their own priorities for treatment and lead the way. In the first session, we download historical information and establish treatment goals. I am trained in TF-CBT and am IFS informed, so we examine how one's thoughts, feelings and actions are impacted by past events. Our parts also have a lot to say and IFS helps us listen and learn.
