About My Clients
During your first session with me, I will encourage you to share your goals for therapy and what you hope to accomplish in our work together. I will be happy to answer any questions that you may have regarding the therapy process and if this is a new experience for you, I will be happy to explain my style. We can discuss things that work for you and things that are not comfortable for you. It is a great time for us to set the groundwork for the important journey you are about to begin.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience working with clients of all ages. I am able to help individuals navigate struggles with anxiety, ADHD, relationship challenges, domestic violence, stress, depression, and parenting issues to name a few. As a compassionate therapist, I meet clients where they are at and work from a strengths-based approach. I believe that all individuals deserve a safe place to heal, be heard, and share their thoughts and feelings without judgment. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques in my approach and encourage clients to find personal strengths as they work through life transitions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am born and raised in Montana but have lived in Idaho and the Spokane Valley the past 11 years. I am a mother to two boys, have been divorced, and experienced being a single mom for a period of time. I enjoy the outdoors and have 2 cute beagles that take a lot of my time and attention but bring so much joy to our home. I am an advocate for survivors of domestic violence as well as children of abuse. My free time is spent with my husband, my children, and my parents doing anything we can to enjoy life to the fullest.
