About My Clients
I love working with neurodiverse, high camouflaging/masking adults who come from a wide variety of life experiences and collective identities. All are welcome and their backgrounds are always respected and nurtured as part of their autistic identity.
My Background and Approach
Evaluating adults for ASD can prove especially challenging, as autistic adults present differently than children. Having experience with individuals who use camouflaging techniques to appear socially competent and socially successful is very important. I have assembled a specific set of instruments and assessment techniques tailored to the evaluation of ASD characteristics in adults, including camouflaging. Sessions also address autistic burnout and difficulties launching an adult life, two struggles that autistic people face in our neurotypical world. Many of my clients have waited a long time to find someone who can help them explore how their personal profile reflects autism, so having no wait list is key. Sessions can usually get started immediately.
