About My Clients
Your path to parenthood is not what you hoped it would be. Dealing with the trauma and loss associated with reproductive difficulties is probably the hardest thing you’ve ever had to face. It often feels like an invisible loss to others and you’re suffering in silence. If any of this sounds familiar, you're in the right place. I help women and couples who have suffered from infertility, perinatal loss, birth trauma, and difficulties adjusting in the postpartum period.
My Background and Approach
I provide psychotherapy for women and couples whose reproductive experiences involve infertility, miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death, pregnancy-related complications (birth trauma), NICU experiences, postpartum anxiety/depression and pregnancy after loss. I do great work with people who have been hit with the harsh reality that life had a different plan than what they intended for themselves and their families. It’s incredibly rewarding for me to help my clients learn how to experience life after trauma and discover that they don’t have to define themselves by their reproductive experience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in abundant compassion, support and empathy. I also believe in the power of telling stories and how healing that can be. Everyone deserves a safe and non judgmental place to tell their stories and process their experiences. I don't discriminate against anyone nor do I support or engage in any unfair treatment of others. I believe that everyone has strengths and I work from a strengths based perspective.
