Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a short-term, goal-oriented psychotherapy treatment that takes a hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving. I have found this modality to be very helpful specifically in the treatment of anxiety and depression.
I am trained in Level 2 Gottman Method Couples Therapy. The Gottman Method is an approach to couples therapy that includes a thorough assessment of the couple relationship and integrates research-based interventions aimed to disarm conflicting verbal communication, increase intimacy, respect, and affection, remove barriers that create a feeling of stagnancy in conflicting situations, and create a heightened sense of empathy and understanding within the context of the relationship.

I can help you better understand how your depression got started and what is helping to maintain these feelings. Once we've uncovered what has contributed to these feelings, I can help you develop the skills to better manage your emotions by learning ways to minimize the frequency and intensity of these symptoms. Together, we will develop an individualized plan to help you achieve your goals so you can live more authentically and feel better.
