About My Clients
I am invested in supporting clients to reach a better understanding of themselves and others through promoting awareness of their emotions, identity, cultural influences, and relationships. I have found enjoyment in working with people navigating changes that intersect with a multitude of cultural and environmental factors. I love to work with individuals and relationships open to the therapeutic experience and learning more about themselves and others. I work often with anxiety and ADHD.
My Background and Approach
I am inspired by understanding how various cultural contexts can impact individuals, relationships, and family dynamics. Through an intersectional cultural lens, I aim to help clients reflect on their values, thought processes, and behaviors. In doing so, I hope to cultivate a space that feels healing and fulfilling. I aim to keep therapy empirically informed, culturally aware, and social justice-oriented. I hope to create a space that curates therapy to one's strengths and unique challenges. I am interested, but am not limited to working with those who experience challenges with: anxiety, ADHD, identity development, integrating cultural differences, and attachment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a queer mixed-race Asian-American who received my undergraduate psychology degree abroad at the University of Edinburgh and my master's degree from The Family Institute at Northwestern University. From living in a multitude of different cultural environments, I have seen how conscious and unconscious values, beliefs, and behaviors can greatly impact the perception and resolution of problems. I enjoy working with individuals, teens, and relationships to open dialogues to unburden some of these internal and external challenges.
