About My Clients
I primarily work with clients ages 14 and up, with a focus on adults. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, self-esteem, and life adjustments. Many clients want a space to be honest without judgment, at their own pace, with a compassionate push to grow. I work well with people ready for deeper self-understanding, those just starting to explore therapy, and learning to heal with loving kindness towards themselves.
My Background and Approach
Keri's approach is holistic and person-centered, drawing on evidence-based methods including CBT, DBT, ACT, and Schema Therapy. Rather than a one-size-fits-all model, she tailors sessions to what each client needs — sometimes that means structured, skills-based work, and other times it means slowing down to process deeper emotional patterns. She often incorporates expressive arts and mindfulness into sessions, especially to support trauma processing and help clients reconnect with themselves in ways that go beyond talk alone. As someone trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), she also draws on this approach when it's a good fit for trauma-focused work. Her goal is to help clients build self-compassion and practical coping skills, while creating a felt sense of safety as they move toward the life they want. This isn't just about symptom relief — it's about sustainable, meaningful change that clients carry with them long after therapy ends.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe deeply in the value of mental health care and in the therapeutic relationship itself as a tool for healing. I see therapy as a collaborative process — I'm not there to hand out answers, but to walk alongside clients with warmth, curiosity, and a non-judgmental stance, offering both support and accountability through life's ups and downs. I'm a passionate advocate for suicide prevention and volunteer on a crisis line, work that has deepened my belief in the power of being truly heard during someone's hardest moments. I'm committed to LGBTQ+ affirming care, body positivity, disability rights, anti-racism, cultural sensitivity, trauma-informed care, and destigmatizing mental illness. I support survivors of domestic violence and abuse, chronic illness advocacy, and I care deeply about economic justice, food insecurity, homelessness, animal welfare, and environmental causes.
