About My Clients
I really enjoy working with people with OCD, especially those struggling with "pure OCD," including harm obsessions, POCD/sexual obsessions, sexual orientation and gender identity obsessions, scrupulosity, and relationship OCD. It can be terrifying and shameful to disclose these symptoms to someone else. I chose to specialize in treating these concerns because I want to provide a space in which people can feel safe to disclose their symptoms without fear of judgment.
My Background and Approach
My approach is based on the cognitive-behavioral model. The main treatment modality I use to treat OCD and anxiety disorders is exposure and response prevention (ERP). However, I include mindfulness and acceptance-based approaches as well. I typically approach trauma using prolonged exposure therapy, and for depression I use behavioral activation. All of these approaches are evidence-based and can be tailored to the individual person. I've seen these methods work with previous clients, and I feel confident that they can work for you.

I have a background in women's studies. I've always been passionate about social justice.
